February 26, 2007

It is with great joy that we tell you that Jennifer is pregnant, confirmed Saturday morning via ultrasound.
She had been having some weird feelings inside so I told her to take a pregnancy test, which came back positive. We then made an appointment with a doctor at the SOS clinic to confirm. She is 5 weeks 6 days along as of today.

A word of encouragement... We had wondered why she had not gotten pregnant before and we had the thought that maybe God was waiting for us to get to Cambodia first so that nothing would be in the way of our starting to work there. She must have gotten pregnant about a week after we arrived. Thank the Lord for his goodness. Please pray for God's continued blessings to be upon us and for Jennifer and the baby to be healthy. and that I would be a good dad.

Also, please pray for our work in Cambodia, that the Lord would establish the work of our hands.

Bill

Psalms 90:17
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!

God bless you beloved brother and sister!

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. (Psalm 127:3-5)."

Dear Bro. Bill and Sister Jennifer,
I rejoice in the good news of God's blessing you with a child. We pray for you often,I taped the Cambodian currancy to my bathroom mirror and am reminded of you daily by it as well as cheng and sophorn. All of us are doing well plenty of work for now And I am planning for the garden in march. Can you please let me know how to turn the water on to the garden? I am trying to inlist some other church members to share in the joy of "gardening", we'll see how that goes. My studies in acts continually remind me of the work in Cambodia and the Paralleles of the work there and the early church! In chapter 11 we are studying about Barnabus being sent to Antioch and when he saw the grace of God among the saints there he was glad. How glad it is that God would give us a glad heart. Barnabus was a son of Exortation perhaps not the greatest preacher, teacher in the early church, but a man of encourgement. I'm thankful that God has sent both of you to encourge the saints there and rejoice with them in the work that God is doing among them. Keep faith I exhort you with purpose of heart to cleave to the Lord!
Love in Christ Always,
Bro Lou and family
